Ronnie Fairbanks
Tlingit, Ts鈥檓ysen and Chippewa artist Ronnie Fairbanks was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A high school teacher of Native Art鈥檚 Carving in Craig, Alaska, Fairbank's medium of art is Northwest Coastal Form-line Design. He finds inspiration in the rhythms and activities of everyday life: on the water in a fishing boat, skateboarding around town, or flipping through books of formline 鈥淥ld Masters.鈥� His designs maintain many of the fundamental rules of the art form while incorporating fresh references and motifs.
