Extra Tough: Leadership and Activism by Women of the North
Use this booklet with 7-12 grade students to investigate themes of leadership and activism by women of the North. In its pages, you will find content, writing, drawing, and activity prompts to help students engage with primary source artworks, newspapers, and archival images relating to female leadership and activism in Alaska. The teacher resource guide contains extension activities, additional primary sources, and further background information to help facilitate the use of this booklet in the classroom or at home.
